      On November 7th to 17th, GAPEC held the “International Port & Shipping Development Senior Seminar. The Seminar took the lead in Chinese port and shipping industries. Participants from St. Petersburg Port UCL Holding and Solomon Ports accomplished the 11 days’ courses.

      In the graduation ceremony, Chairman of the Board Mr. Huang Jian and other managements of GAPEC delivered speeches. Representatives of the participants also expressed their personal ideas.

      MS. Ryabinina and MR. Solovov, from UCL Holding, expressed their gratitude to GPA and GAPEC for holding this training. “It was a great experience. Through these 11 days’ courses, we get to know how different kinds of terminals operate; we talked to people in different positions and even made friends with them. The teachers are very professional in their areas. Specially, it is so nice of GAPEC to flexibly add an extra lecture for us at night since we are so much interested in the topic” Ms. Ryabinina Said.

      For MR. Tura and MR. Rausi from Solomon Ports, the memory of this training was unforgettable. MR.Tura said, “From a remote area like Solomon Ports, I am very impressed by the modernization of Guangzhou Port with a large scale and advanced port facilities. Surely we will take what we have learned from this training back to our country, such as modern management ideas and systems, and advanced port equipments”.
      In the end, all the participants wished their bests to GAPEC and might the friendship between Guangzhou Port and St. Petersburg Port and Solomon Ports last forever.
